A Modern Facelift with Classic Touches: Full Exterior Remodel in Green Tree

Modern siding, classic details, and custom touches turned this aging exterior into the pride of the block

At White Stag Construction, we take pride in turning referrals into lasting relationships. This residential project came to us through a satisfied former client, and we were honored to give their neighbor’s home a much-needed update that blended craftsmanship, curb appeal, and custom details.

Starting with Demo & Discovery

What began as a siding replacement quickly revealed deeper issues. Upon removing the original exterior, we discovered that no waterproof membrane had been installed beneath the siding. To address this and ensure long-term protection, we installed a full Zip System® sheathing and tape before continuing.

Sleek New Siding — Without the Trim

We replaced the outdated siding with Smooth James Hardie Artisan V-Groove, chosen for its premium profile and durability. To give the home a sleek, modern look, we mitered the corners for a clean, trimless finish — a subtle but impactful detail.

Rebuilding Where It Counts

As part of the exterior refresh, we also demoed and rebuilt a deteriorating stone wall at the end of the front walkway. This not only restored structural integrity but also polished up the home’s curb appeal.

Painting the Whole Picture

We unified the new siding, existing brick, and stone with a fresh coat of Sherwin-Williams SW 7042 Shoji White, a warm, soft neutral. For contrast and warmth, we painted the fascia in SW 7032 Warm Stone, which we also repaired and replaced as needed.

Lighting, Entry, and Interior Finishes

To elevate the front porch, we replaced two exterior sconces and added recessed can lighting for a clean, well-lit entry. We also installed a stunning custom mahogany entry door with side lites, professionally stained to bring richness and warmth to the home’s façade.

Inside, we updated shaker-style cabinet doors in a built-in system, tying in the modern aesthetic from the outside and giving the interior a refreshed feel.

Roof & Flashing Touch-Ups

With the exterior complete, we finished by replacing all counter flashing and select shingles to ensure full integration with the home’s stone-coated steel roof — preserving both performance and appearance.
